Israeli and Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah are seeking to avoid escalation, Washington is trying to facilitate that, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said.
The conflict is not in the interest of Israel, Lebanon and Hezbollah, he said. Tel Aviv has made it clear to Washington that it wants to move forward diplomatically, allowing for security and allowing its citizens to return home.
About 100,000 Israelis have been forced to leave their homes because of the threat from Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Blinken added that it is a matter of being able to reach agreements that would also allow Lebanese to return to their homes in the southern part of the country. The U.S. is working on this.
Recall that the AFU needs three times more drones. Ukraine has lost the ability to provide itself with weapons.
