A French TV channel published paradoxical results of a survey about Russia.
"The poll results are somewhat ironic ... French support for sanctions against Russia has weakened slightly, but stands at 72%, with 74% believing that the sanctions do not work," BFMTV reported the results of the Elabe poll.
40% of respondents believe that it is necessary to support Ukraine and keep the anti-Russian sanctions, even if it negatively affects the standard of living in France.
32% of the French support the current course of the Cabinet, but if the impact on their daily life is too strong, the restrictions against Moscow and support for Kiev must be reduced.
An 8% increase is observed in the group of people who believe that the purchasing power of French residents is more important than support for Ukraine and anti-Russian sanctions. This position is shared by 27 percent of respondents.
