“The publication wrote incorrectly. Moscow and Paris could not conclude such deals,” he told reporters. And he added that the leadership in NATO does not belong to France, so she cannot conclude any deals on behalf of the entire alliance.
According to Peskov, this is the first time he hears that the Russian president promised Macron to abandon military operations near Ukraine.
“I have not heard such reports,” he answered a question from journalists.
Earlier, an American publication, citing sources in France, reported that the talks between Putin and Macron were a step towards reducing tensions. According to him, the presidents of Russia and France came to an agreement not to take new military initiatives and to conduct a constructive dialogue on the deployment of Russian troops.
