"The UN is promising us that there is going to be a result," Dmitry Polyanskiy, first deputy ambassador to the UN, said in a conversation with Izvestia, referring to the lifting of restrictions on the export of Russian food.

The diplomat added that Russia, when deciding on the extension of the agreement, will assess the effectiveness of its part and the effectiveness of the UN efforts.

Polyansky stressed that the organization must fulfill its commitments by next Friday, November 18. The deputy Russian permanent representative called this date a "logical deadline" for the current deal.

On November 2, Moscow decided to resume its participation in the grain deal after receiving guarantees from Kiev, signed with the mediation of the UN and Ankara. Ukraine promised not to use the gum corridor in the Black Sea for military purposes, the Russian Defense Ministry explained. At the same time, Russia reserved the right to withdraw from the agreement if Ukraine violates these guarantees.

On Thursday, November 3, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that Moscow still sees no result on the second part of the package of agreements, which deals with the removal of obstacles to the export of Russian fertilizers and grain.
