On Thursday, October 6, the portal of legal information posted an edited text of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which included the annexed territories.
On Wednesday, October 5, it became known about signing of the Decree by the head of Russia Vladimir Putin on amendments to the Constitution in connection with appearance of new regions.
Earlier it was reported that the texts of the treaties on the accession of new regions were posted.
According to the presidential decree, Article 65 of the main document of the state was amended. Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Lugansk and Donetsk republics became part of the Russian Federation.
Recall that Denis Pushilin stated that he would adapt the constitution of the republics in case of their accession to the Russian Federation.
From September 23 to 27 in the regions were held referendums on accession to Russia. According to the results of the counting of ballots in the Donetsk republic 99.23% voted for the initiative, in the Lugansk republic 98.42% voted for the initiative, in the Zaporizhzhya region 93.11% voted in favor and in the Kherson region 87.05% voted for accession.
