U.S. Air Force electronic reconnaissance aircraft was spotted off the coast of Crimea.
The U.S. Air Force OF 38th RS/55th WG, Boeing RC-135V Rivet Joint, tail number 63-9792, call sign HOMER79, which took off from the Suda airbase on the island of Crete, is conducting a reconnaissance flight along the Black Sea coast of the Russian Federation, the PlaneRadar monitoring resource reported December 5.
Later the aircraft began to fly on the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as in Georgian airspace.
The day before, on December 4, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that NATO aviation flights in the area of the Russian borders carry risks for the safety of civilian aircraft.
