The United States Air Force has performed a test launch of the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the base's website reported.

The missile launch took place at 11:26 Moscow time from the US Space Force's Vanderberg military base. It is important to note that the missile did not carry a combat charge and was launched solely for testing and verification of its technical characteristics.

Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder emphasized that the United States had previously notified Russia of the planned ICBM test, which is in line with bilateral agreements between the countries.

This Minuteman III launch was the last in a series of tests conducted by the US Air Force. A similar test of the Minuteman III missile was carried out in April this year.
