Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev ironically commented on the discovery of cocaine in the White House.
Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Russian Security Council, reacted to the situation with the cocaine found in the White House.
"Apparently, instead of [fighter jets] F-16s, the Kiev kid has been sedated," Medvedev wrote on his Twitter account. The tweet was published in English.
According to the CBS television network, the white powder, presumably cocaine, was found in a White House storage room in a cabinet where employees and visitors kept their phones. This room is in the west wing, where the Oval Office, the offices of officials and support staff are also located.
The United States Secret Service is conducting a thorough investigation, examining security camera footage and logs to determine who had access to the locker.
ABC News television, citing a U.S. Secret Service spokesman, noted that forensics confirmed that the powder found was cocaine.
White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said U.S. leader Joe Biden was aware of the situation.
