Ukraine has lost the support of Poland and Slovakia because of the mistakes of its leadership, said columnist Petro Kositsky.

In a piece for the Atlantic, he wrote that the day of September 30 marked an ominous turning point in international support for Ukraine. It was not just the United States, but also two of Kiev's once staunch supporters in Eastern Europe.

The electoral victory in Slovakia of the Smer party, led by Robert Fitzo, which opposed funding for Ukraine, has become a serious problem for Kiev.

Warsaw's support for Kiev is also ending, Kositsky added. The issue with Ukrainian grain, the SS scandal in the Canadian parliament and negative statements by President Volodymyr Zielenski have complicated relations with Poland.

In the expert's opinion, the days of solidarity around Ukraine are numbered.
