Google will resume collaboration with the Pentagon on its military program. Joint work ceased in 2018.
According to the New York Times, Google employees several years ago pushed for the company to withdraw from the Pentagon's program, which involves using neural networks to improve military drones. They signed a petition in which they noted the contradiction between the corporation's credo and work on technologies for the military sphere.
Now Google can take part in the Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability project. Possible cooperation with the U.S. Department of Defense will be aimed at improving technology and the development of the use of AI in the military sphere.
Earlier, Robert Epstein, a doctoral student at Harvard University, stated that Google is spying on people through search. The company is trying to reprogram humanity with its services.
