President of the United States of America Joe Biden said that he intends to run for a second term in 2024. This was reported by the American TV channel NBC News.

It is specified that the U.S. leader announced his intention during a private conversation at the White House with preacher Al Sharpton, who is an activist for the rights of African Americans and former White House adviser to Barack Obama.

According to NBC News, Biden and Sharpton spoke back in September. Afterward, the preacher told his National Action Network colleagues in Washington about the conversation.

Biden told the preacher of his intention to run for president again as, "I'm going to do it again."

NBC News recalled that African-Americans played a key role in Joe Biden's return to the Democratic primary, they gave him the votes to win in South Carolina after he failed in the first three rounds of voting in Iowa, Nevada and New Hampshire.

Biden was born Nov. 20, 1942, and is now 79 years old. He is the oldest president of the United States in the nation's history.
