Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei posted a Hebrew-language post on social network X. He threatened Israel after the attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital.

Khamenei said that Iran, with "God's help," will make the Zionists (Israel) repent for the crime against the Iranian consulate in Damascus and regret the attack.

Iran's Supreme Leader wished "peace and mercy" to the victims.

On Monday, April 1, the Syrian Defense Ministry reported that the Iranian consulate building in Damascus was completely destroyed in an Israeli airstrike. Iran's IRGC confirmed that two of its generals and five other officers were killed in the strike.
