Russia has no plans to save Europe with additional gas supplies amid the ongoing energy crisis in the region.
According to Bloomberg, Russia announced its readiness to meet the increased demand of Europeans through additional supplies, while Gazprom refused to reserve additional transit capacities through the territory of Ukraine and Poland.
The Russian state corporation can still reserve additional transit capacity at monthly auctions. However, the company's intention to distribute export flows towards the Asian region does not leave Europe a chance, the newspaper notes.
In this regard, the arguments of European politicians have again appeared that Russia is using the crisis for its own purposes in order to use the restriction of supplies as a pressure measure on Brussels in the matter of Nord Stream 2 certification.
