Beijing expresses support for the participation of more partners and like-minded organizations in cooperation with BRICS. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning.
Thus she commented on Turkey's plans to join the political association.
“China is ready, together with other BRICS member countries, to continue to uphold the spirit of openness, inclusiveness and mutually beneficial cooperation of BRICS, and to support the participation of more like-minded partners in BRICS cooperation,” RIA Novosti reports the diplomat's words.
Mao Ning noted that BRICS is an important platform for cooperation between emerging and developing countries.
