Tools of influence from Washington on the allegedly probable invasion of Ukraine will be applied in close cooperation with partners and allies of the United States, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday, December 1, confirmed the statement by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken about the intention to impose large-scale economic sanctions against Russia in the event of a possible invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops.
"The Secretary of State made it clear today that we do not hesitate to use these tools," TASS quoted Psaki as saying.
Jen Psaki recalled that the US administration had previously declared its readiness to use “in response to hostile steps by Russia” both economic and other instruments of influence.
A White House spokeswoman added that this will be done "in close collaboration with our partners and allies."
