North Korea launched three short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan.

North Korea launched three short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan on Wednesday, November 2, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing the South Korean Chiefs of Staff Committee.

One of the missiles fell into the sea 57 kilometers from the South Korean city of Seokcho. The other was flying toward Ulleungdo, but fell into the sea 167 kilometers from it.

An air-raid alert was declared on the island. The siren sounded automatically around 8:55 local time (02:55 Moscow time), it went off 13 minutes later. According to Yonhap, this is the first time in 2022 that the DPRK has launched a missile toward South Korea.
