Japan has expressed support for the visit to Russia of Upper House deputy Muneo Suzuki and called it right. Japanese fishermen also supported the trip.
"I've been criticized by people with a low level of understanding. <...> Someone has to do something!" - noted the politician.
He reported that the main thing is that the fishermen were pleased. The MP specified that the Japanese found Suzuki's visit right and supported it in this difficult time.
The parliamentarian added that last year the Japan Renewal Party (Nippon Ishin no Kai) expressed dissatisfaction with those who "understand nothing" about foreign policy and diplomacy. This time Russia has already become associated with Muneo Suzuki. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
This is the second visit of Suzuki to Russia since the fall of last year. After the first trip, the politician was criticized by official Tokyo and his fellow members of the Japan Renewal Party, of which he was then a member. Because of the scandal Suzuki had to leave the political association.
During his visit to Moscow, the deputy made an appeal to the Russian Federation to resume visits to ancestral graves by Japanese citizens who used to live on the Kuril Islands.
