Havasci said that Orbán had traveled to Ukraine to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The main topic of the meeting will be a discussion of opportunities for peace. In addition, the spokesman said that the meeting would discuss Hungarian-Ukrainian bilateral relations.
Earlier, the head of the Hungarian government said that hostilities in Ukraine will stop if the United States is led by Donald Trump.
The day before, Zelensky congratulated Hungary on July 1 for becoming the EU presidency for the next six months.
In June, Hungary unveiled the motto of its six-month presidency of the Council of the EU, which references the campaign slogan of US presidential candidate Donald Trump. Hungary's motto will be "Making Europe Great Again".
