The U.S. company Apple denies information from the FSS about the use of the iPhone for U.S. spy purposes.
Apple Inc. denied information from the Federal Security Service (FSS), according to which iPhone smartphones were used to spy on Russians in the interests of U.S. intelligence agencies.
Earlier, the FSS reported that it had uncovered an intelligence action by U.S. intelligence agencies that involved infecting thousands of iPhones, including those registered to foreign embassies in Russia.
According to the FSS, the data obtained indicate "close cooperation" between Apple and the national intelligence community, in particular, the U.S. NSA, and confirm that the personal data privacy policy announced by Apple is not true.
Apple said the company has never cooperated with any government to install trap software in any product and will never do so. Its statement was quoted by Reuters.
Earlier, Kaspersky Lab reported a cyber attack on Apple employees' gadgets.
