Every year, Russian President Vladimir Putin gives a big press conference. Dmitry Peskov, the head of state's press secretary, announced the date of the upcoming event.
"Vladimir Putin will hold his annual big press conference on December 23. The event will take place in person," Dmitry Peskov said.
A press conference will be held in the Manezh, where only 500 journalists will be allowed, while usually more than 1,000 people are allowed to attend such an event. "There will be no free accreditation, the Kremlin will choose its own journalists. We will invite federal media that work on the presidential agenda, foreign media, as well as regional media, which we will invite through the embassy," added Dmitry Peskov.
A Kremlin spokesman previously reported that a press conference by Vladimir Putin will take place in December. In 2020, the event was held on December 17.
