Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in an interview with the 60 minutes program expressed fears about Russian President Vladimir Putin's actions and his use of re-locations against Georgia, considering it as an attempt of interference and possible seizure of the country.
Zurabishvili noted that Russia is actively checking the Georgian situation, seeking to revive its power in the former Soviet republics. The Georgian President expressed fears about the possible expansion of a conflict similar to the Ukrainian conflict into Georgian territory.
She also noted that since the beginning of the armed conflict Georgia has become a shelter for about 100 thousand Russian citizens, expressing her alarm about the presence of the Russian-speaking population in Georgia.
We shall remind you that earlier the Georgian parliament expressed concerns about Ukraine's desire to see Mikheil Saakashvili back in power.
