Aliyev: Baku does not want to involve third country in Karabakh conflict

According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Baku does not want to involve any third country in resolving the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Obviously, we are talking about Turkey, the participation of which Azerbaijan previously insisted on discussing the aggravation of the problem. What exactly has changed is unclear, but in an interview with the German publication ARD, Aliyev said that he did not see the possibility of involving any state in the conflict.

He explained that the Armenian side is trying to gain the support of third countries.

Azerbaijan views the surrounding states as friends and partners, Aliyev said. Baku hopes that they will not participate in the battles on the side of Armenia.

The President of Azerbaijan also said: Turkish fighters do not participate in hostilities, F-16 brought to the territory of Azerbaijan for exercises. They stay in the country "in solidarity."
