The number of taxpayers on professional income in the capital of Russia as of December 1, 2022 has exceeded 1,2 million people.
According to the mayor's official website, this number is one-fifth of the total number of self-employed in our country.
The most popular activities were passenger transportation, delivery, renting apartments, advertising and marketing, as well as construction.
Vladimir Yefimov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, noted the popularity of the professional income tax regime among Muscovites.
He noted that over the past 11 months the number of self-employed increased by 340 thousand. Self-employed Muscovites' income from January to November amounted to 240 billion rubles.
The head of the Moscow Department of Entrepreneurship and innovative development Alexei Fursin said that self-employment helps to earn by doing favorite things and hobbies.
It is known that the average monthly income of citizens with this status was 72 thousand rubles a month.
