Forecasters predict record 75-year rainfall in Moscow on March 26

Today a North Atlantic cyclone in Central Russia will bring 25-50 percent of precipitation of the entire monthly norm.

The leading expert of the weather center "Phobos" Evgeny Tishkovets said that on March 26 in Moscow and throughout Central Russia will fall a record amount of precipitation for 75 years.

On Moscow and the region today will fall from 10 to 19 millimeters of precipitation.

This amount equals one to two buckets of rainwater per square meter. Especially heavy rains will fall from 12 to 15 o'clock, RIA Novosti wrote.

According to experts "Phobos" in the history of the main Moscow weather station VDNH, so rainy it was March 26 only in 1951. On that day 11.8 millimeters of precipitation fell on Moscow and the region.

Temperatures in the region today are expected to be +8 ... +10 degrees.
