Moscow plans to build 25 metro stations by 2025

The capital is going to build 25 more metro stations by the end of 2024.

Andrei Bochkarev, Moscow's deputy mayor for construction, said that 25 metro stations and 58.5 kilometers of underpass tunnels are planned to be built in Moscow by the end of 2024.

"In the period from 2022 to the end of 2024 is planned to build 58.5 kilometers of lines, 25 subway stations and three electric depots for train service. This will significantly improve transport services for many urban areas, which today do not have metro stations within walking distance, "- said the deputy mayor.

Bochkarev said about the plans to complete the sections of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line from station "Rasskazovka" to Vnukovo, Sokolnicheskaya line from "Kommunarka" to station "Potapovo", as well as the Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line between stations "Seligerskaya" and "Fiztech" and Troitskaya line from station "ZIL" to "Kommunarka".

In addition, the construction of sections of Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya, Biryulevskaya and Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya lines is going to begin.
