The head of the capital's Deptrans Maxim Liskutov told about it.

Navigation elements are made with the help of a new technology. They were created from thermoplastic, which is used when applying road markings. Thanks to these changes, Deptrans employees manage to place more navigation elements overnight than before.

More than a hundred new navigation elements will be placed in the lobbies and platforms of metro stations “Prospekt Vernadskogo”, “Michurinsky Prospekt”, “Aminievskaya” and “Slavyansky Boulevard”. In addition, navigation will be updated at the stations “Proletarskaya”, “Krestyanskaya Zastava”, “Ploshchad Ilyicha”, “Rimskaya”, as well as in the transitions between them.

Liksutov said that on the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin the stations and rail frame transfers are being opened, in connection with which the system of signposts is being developed and new solutions are being added. According to the plan that floor navigation will be updated at 150 more transfer stations, the head of Deptrans added.

Liksutov also noted that floor navigation has already shown its effectiveness in Moscow transport.
