The number of large families in Moscow has increased 2.5 times over the past 10 years.
Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, said on the official website that thanks to the work of the capital's government in the framework of social policy, the number of large families has also grown.
According to Rakova, over 10 years their number has grown 2.5 times - as of November 2021, about 188 thousand large families live in the capital. In recent years, the city has expanded its opportunities to support large families.
In addition to providing financial assistance, benefits and psychological assistance to such families, the authorities help women on and after maternity leave.
The Vice Mayor noted that in 2022, in general, to support families and children, the authorities “will allocate 15.9 percent more budget funds than in 2021. Social payments to families with children will be increased by 4.8 percent ”.
