Two metro stations under construction in Moscow have been given names, as Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on March 21.
The first station located on the prospective Biryulevskaya metro line near the intersection of Likhachev Avenue and Lisitsky Street will be called "ZIL". It will be an interchange to the station of the same name of the Moscow Central Ring (MCC).
The mayor noted that at the moment the station is more than half ready. Its opening will improve transportation services for 105 thousand residents of Danilovsky district.
The second station, "Dostoevskaya", is located on the Ring Line of the metro along Durov Street, between Delegatskaya Street and Olimpiyskiy Avenue. It will also be an interchange to the station of the same name on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line.
Now design works are being carried out on it. After its opening more than 200 thousand citizens from the districts of Meshchansky, Tverskaya and Maryina Roshcha will be able to choose new, more convenient routes.
