A number of Moscow reservoirs will be breathed a new life. Almost two dozen ponds will be put in order.
In Moscow, 17 ponds will be put in order in 2022. They will be cleaned of silt layers, supplemented with aquatic vegetation and landscaped along the coastal area, mos.ru reports.
"Ponds in Moscow are an important component of the formation of the urban environment: they not only create favorable climatic conditions, but for many years remain a favorite place of Muscovites," - says the report.
Experts regularly conduct surveys of the capital's ponds. If a problem is found, the reservoir is included in the plan and a project for its improvement is being prepared. In addition, the ponds clean and improve the banks according to the requests and wishes of the citizens.
As noted in the message, work is scheduled for next year at 17 locations. Among them are two Lianozovsky, Lefortovsky cascade, Goncharovsky pond and a dozen more places for quiet pleasant walks.
The ponds will be cleaned of silt deposits and supplemented with aquatic vegetation. The banks of the reservoirs will be repaired and the territory will be landscaped.
