Echo of Moscow journalist Maya Peshkova died at the age of 76 in Moscow

Echo of Moscow journalist and literary critic Maya Peshkova died of complications from the coronavirus at the age of 75.

Maya Peshkova, a journalist for the Echo of Moscow radio station, died last night in the hospital from complications caused by the coronavirus, as reported by the radio station's editor-in-chief Alexei Venediktov on his Telegram channel.

The place and time of farewell to the woman has not yet been determined.

Maya Peshkova has worked for Echo of Moscow since 1992, she was the author and presenter of the programs "Непрошедшее время"  (The Not Past Time) and "Книжное казино" (Book Casino).

Peshkova was a laureate of the Artyom Borovik Prize in the Radio nomination for the Pobeda radio program cycle, in 2006 she was awarded the Alexander Blok silver medal for "The Not Past Time" program cycle.
