In Moscow clinics, patients' X-rays will be decoded by AI. This was announced by the Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin.

Sobyanin noted that up to 2 million fluorographies and chest X-rays are performed annually in Moscow clinics. At the same time, in most cases, the study is conducted for preventive purposes, and in 99% of cases pathologies are not detected.

"Therefore, doctors are engaged in describing the "norm", - said the head of the city.

After this work is "transferred" to the AI, doctors will be able to engage in other duties. However, to be sure that the AI did not make a mistake, all the conclusions made by the neural network from May to September will be checked by Russia's leading radiologists.

After that, the medical report from the doctor will be included in the medical record.

Full implementation of AI-assisted X-ray examination interpretation will take place after experts draw conclusions about the safety of using neural networks without a doctor's involvement.
