20,000 donors donated blood with antibodies against COVID-19 in Moscow

The Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin thanked the citizens who donated blood with antibodies against COVID-19.

The Mayor of Moscow said on his Facebook page that 160 thousand people, who had contracted the coronavirus, contacted the hotline for donors. Another 600,000 people have been called by the hotline operators.

Moscow has become the first Russian city to use antibody plasma transfusion therapy for COVID treatment. This was made possible thanks to blood donors who themselves had had coronavirus and wanted to help other people recover.
