Freezing rain to fall in Moscow on Thursday

About 13 mm of precipitation will fall over two days. In the morning, visibility is expected to deteriorate and there will be heavy snow.

A warm front has already arrived in Moscow today, bringing light snow. The intensity of precipitation will increase during the day and reach its peak on Thursday, February 25 morning. This was told by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading employee of the Phobos weather centre, in a conversation with RIA News.

On Wednesday and Thursday, 35% of the monthly norm of precipitation - 13 mm - will fall. Heavy snowfall is expected on February 25 from 6 to 9 am, with freezing rain possible by 11 am. Visibility is expected to deteriorate to 100 metres. There will be heavy fog and drizzle. Temperatures will be 5 to 10 degrees below zero at night and 3 degrees above zero during the day.
