Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Russian Railways CEO Oleg Belozerov opened the Khovrino station on the Oktyabrskaya railway. In the future, it will be part of the future MCD-3, the Moscow news agency said.
According to Sergei Sobyanin, a large TH was created in Khovrino. The Khovrino station is an already functioning facility that will improve the transport connection of Zelenograd, West Degunino, Khimki, Khovrino.
The station is also integrated into the future high-speed railway towards St. Petersburg.
The Mayor of Moscow expressed gratitude to the head of Russian Railways for continuing joint activities in the implementation of railway projects, despite coronavirus and related difficulties.
