About 200 large sports facilities have been built in Moscow over 13 years, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
These include the CSKA and Spartak soccer stadiums, the Irina Viner Gymnastics Palace, the Dynamo Sports Academy and others. Investors are attracted to build non-capital facilities. Such objects are built faster. Investors receive a preferential rate of payment and a long term of placement.
89 agreements have been concluded with investors. Nineteen facilities have been built. Among them are PLAYPARK sports complex, FOC with an indoor skating rink on Krylatskaya Street, FOC with five tennis courts on the 6th Radialnaya Street.
According to Sobyanin, 52% of residents are constantly engaged in sports. In 2010 there were 18% of them.
