Forbes: a hard short-term lockdown may be introduced in Moscow from October 30 to November 7

The capital's mayor's office has discussed the possible introduction of new restrictive measures in the city related to the coronavirus.

Forbes reports that the mayor's office of Moscow is planning to introduce a hard one-week lockdown from October 30 to November 7 with the possible restriction of access to restaurants, cafes, stores, beauty salons, cinemas and clinics. At the same time, QR-codes certifying vaccination will not be valid.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova has suggested to introduce a short-term lockdown from October 30 to November 7. Restrictive measures are necessary because of the negative forecast of the situation with the spread of a new coronavirus infection and the growth of COVID-19 disease.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin supported Golikova's initiative.
