Sobyanin congratulated the Moscow children's choir “Vesna”, which won the festival in Hong Kong

Moskovici were recognized as the best in two categories at once - Contemporary Music and Children's Choir. In addition, the choir successfully made it to the final stage and was awarded the Grand Prix.

Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel congratulated the young artists and teachers of the capital's children's choir “Vesna” on winning the international festival in Hong Kong.

The Mayor of Moscow said that 53 choirs from six countries, namely from Russia, China, Hungary, Sweden, Indonesia and Estonia took part in the prestigious competition. The Moscow one was a triumphant winner in two nominations at once - “Contemporary Music” and “Children's Choir”. In addition, the Muscovites successfully made it to the final stage and were awarded the Grand Prix.

Children's choir “Vesna” celebrated its 60th anniversary in March 2025. Its founder is Honored Art Worker of Russia Alexander Ponomarev. Since 2012 the management of the group is carried out by his pupil Nadezhda Averina. This year the musical group was awarded the Moscow Mayor's grants in the field of culture and art of the first degree.

During its existence the choir has given concerts in more than 50 cities of Russia, practically in all European countries, as well as in Japan, China and Canada. It regularly performs at the capital's largest venues and interacts with famous musicians.
