A new overpass inside the Moscow Ring Road has been opened in the Russian capital, which connects the M-4 Don highway with the possibility of entering the region. Commenting on the project, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin noted that the overpass will make it possible to avoid crossing traffic flows at the entrances to Moscow and on the M-4 highway.
The construction of this overpass is part of the project to reconstruct the interchange at the intersection with Lipetskaya Street. Related works include the creation of 18.6 kilometers of roads, including a tunnel, seven overpasses and three pedestrian crossings. The large-scale works are planned to be completed by the beginning of 2025.
In addition, as previously reported, the capital authorities promised to finish and open the traffic on the Northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Avenue by the end of 2023.
Thus, the capital will receive the second toll highway after the Moscow high-speed diameter. The new six-lane road, the cost of which is estimated at 65 billion rubles from private investors, will connect Moscow City and the Moscow Ring Road.
