Residents of the capital massively refuse to buy housing: demand has fallen by 50-60%. This was announced on the sidelines of SPIEF 2022 by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

According to Efimov, a similar situation is observed in the field of commercial real estate. The city authorities are in contact with developers, pay attention to projects that are at risk.

However, housing construction is under special attention of the authorities in order to avoid problems with equity holders. With regard to commercial construction, Yefimov said that the construction of those facilities that were launched from scratch has been suspended. The construction of projects of a high degree of readiness continues.
