Specialized retail outlets selling berries have started operating in Moscow.
Such information is published on the website of the Mayor and Government of Moscow with reference to the head of the capital's Department of Trade and Services, Alexei Nemeriuk.
The sales points are located near residential buildings and public transportation stops. All pavilions are decorated in a uniform style.
Nemeryuk said that last year sold more than 2.1 thousand tons of strawberries and strawberries. Because of this, the city authorities decided to expand the range of berries and increase the number of retail outlets from 150 to 250. Now, in addition to different varieties of strawberries, in Moscow you can buy raspberries, blueberries, currants, gooseberries, blackberries, cowberries, blueberries, cranberries and honeysuckle.
The head of the department said that thanks to this, more domestic producers and farms will be able to supply berries to the capital, and residents will have a greater choice.
Nemeryuk noted that berries from southern regions are brought to Moscow, and as they ripen, deliveries from other regions will begin. In total, there will be about 40 of them, he added.
