The Izmaylovsky court in Moscow sentenced three natives of the Republic of Dagestan to prison for beating a local resident.

As it is known from information of investigatory bodies, the persons involved in the criminal case committed the crime in early October 2021 on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow metro.

Attackers attacked a passenger after he tried to stand up for a girl who was attacked with insults and threats by residents of Dagestan.

The perpetrators were detained during the scuffle by law enforcement officials. At the same time, one of the detainees, carrying a clerical knife, tried to hit the policeman. The second one sprayed the contents of pepper spray.

As a result, after an investigation by the Central Office of the RF Investigative Committee, the case was transferred to court under the article "Hooliganism", later re-qualified as "Attempted murder from hooliganism".

The defendants in the criminal case were sentenced to 8.5 and 12 years in a strict regime penal colony.
