More than 440 museums and exhibition halls operate in Moscow. The capital has become one of the world leaders in terms of the number of museums.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel that in 2022, 25 million people became museum visitors.
According to Sobyanin, such an interest in museums is associated with constant work on exhibitions and expositions, the development of unique projects and the introduction of modern technologies.
The mayor called the museum staff real professionals and people in love with history.
For Muscovites and guests of the city, the Main Archive will be opened on Museum Day. Visitors will be able to take photos of Moscow museums of different age.
