The official website of the mayor of Moscow reports that the capital is planning to finish testing the unified electronic base of homeless animals by the end of November, based on the technology of automated accounting of pets in shelters.

The digital base will contain profiles of dogs and cats in the care of shelters, the report said.

Personal profiles will include information on the species, sex, weight, color, age and health of each animal, as well as records of vaccinations, treatments for parasites and other veterinary documents and information about the passage of the socialization course.

The need to create a unified database to systematize information about the animals, appeared because in the future it will help to create a public service for the placement of dogs and cats, said the head of Moscow's Department of Information Technology, Eduard Lysenko.
