Active construction of the new subway branch continues, it is designed to improve the transportation situation for more than a million residents of Moscow and the Moscow suburbs. Sobyanin emphasized that the launch of the tunneling complex from the station “Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya” in the direction of “Ilyinskaya” will contribute to the creation of a powerful transport and interchange hub, will reduce the load on Novaya Riga and improve transport accessibility in the area.
He also said that the station “Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya” will open in the center of the business cluster “SberCity”, where more than 70 thousand people will work. For his part, Herman Gref noted the successful public-private partnership with Moscow, which makes it possible to realize this unique endeavor. He expressed confidence that this direction will become one of the most attractive for the residents of the capital. According to the banker, the green territory of “SberCity” is 5 km of embankment, more than 30 km of bicycle and pedestrian paths, and a third of the allotted area will turn into gardens and parks.
“SberCity” is being built as part of the integrated development of Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and occupies an area of more than 460 hectares. The project provides for the construction of about 5 million square meters of real estate, including 2.5 million “squares” of housing, office space and social infrastructure facilities.
