Residents of the capital and its guests will be able to experience Italian culture from March 26. Evenings dedicated to it will take place in the building of the Russian State Library.
The cycle is called "From Bocaccio to Casanova", concerts, exhibitions and lectures are waiting for visitors. There will be six events in total, said the Moscow Mayor's Office.
The archives of the Russian State Library contain many Italian publications. The collection will be shown to visitors. The Director General of this cultural institution Vadim Duda said that for many centuries Italian culture was in demand in Russia. According to him, it has an enduring value.
Each of the evenings in the series will be dedicated to a representative of Italian culture.
