Eco-installation opened at Delovoy Tsentr station

The pedestrian zone along the Delovoy Centr metro station was transformed into an installation with live trees and plants. Its purpose is to remind Muscovites about the importance of caring about ecology and to acquaint them with the work that the city is doing in this sector.

The eco-installation is dedicated to Moscow's "green" bonds, which were listed on the stock exchange in May this year. The volume of placed securities exceeded 70 billion rubles, but bids were still 1.2 times more than the offer.

“Moscow's decision to enter the green bond market confirms its adherence to the principles of sustainable development and readiness to accelerate the implementation of environmental initiatives aimed at improving the environmental situation and the quality of life of people in the metropolis,” said Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Head of the Moscow Mayor and Government Administration.

The money from the placement of bonds of this type will be invested in the implementation of urban projects to improve the environmental situation in the city. So, they have already bought 200 electric buses and in the near future they will buy another 200, as well as build 18 new stations and 43.8 km of the Big Circle Metro Line and reconstruct 3 stations and 4 km of metro lines.
