The wife took out a loan of 1 million rubles, which the man spent, and then decided to flee across the ocean.
A Moscow resident was accused of kidnapping her spouse, who intended to emigrate to the United States, the Telegram channel Baza reported on August 12.
On June 9, the victim's brother was informed that his relative had been kidnapped and that if the man wanted to see him alive, he should come immediately to the specified address. Upon arriving at the address, the kidnapped brother fell into the hands of his torturers: the perpetrators threatened him with a pistol and beat him first in the woods, then in his Moscow apartment. All the while they demanded 1.3 million rubles from the man who was in their power.
At the same time, the extortionists released the captive's brother, who had previously been kidnapped and immediately went to the police.
Soon, thanks to the police, both relatives were already at large. During the investigation, law enforcement officers found the wife of the man who was about to emigrate as the organizer of the crime. She said that she took a loan of 1 million rubles at her husband's request. He spent the money and decided to go to the United States, so as not to repay the debt to the bank.
So, for the 300 thousand rubles promised to her accomplices, the woman organized his kidnapping in order to make her husband pay. However, everything did not go according to plan. Now the Muscovite may go to jail for a period of 6 to 15 years.
