Muscovites reported that they noticed a large number of birds lying motionless on the snow the day before.
The MIR 24 publication, referring to the Moscow 24 TV channel, reported that residents of Moscow had found drunken bullfinches lying on the ground.
According to eyewitnesses, on January 11 in the morning they saw hundreds of birds in the snow, which, according to them, were immobilized.
As reported by the townspeople, the birds behaved inappropriately and practically did not react to the movements of people, after which they usually flew away.
The experts reassured the Muscovites, saying that the birds were not sick, but just ate thawed rowan berries, which contained fermented sugar.
In such cases, it is recommended not to take the birds home, but to move them to a safer place on the street, since over time they will be able to recover on their own.
