The Moscow City ICD-1 station will become a key element of a major transportation hub as early as 2025. This was informed by the residents of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram-channel.
Residents and guests of the city will be able to appreciate the advantages of the new Moscow City station МЦД-1. In the coming months, together with the company “Russian Railways” it is planned to complete the construction of two passenger platforms and part of the southern concourse, as well as to ensure integration with the MCD-4. Currently, finishing, commissioning works and installation of engineering systems are being carried out on the first two platforms, the mayor said.
Sobyanin emphasized that the southern concourse is 85% ready, where specialists are completing the arrangement of exits. According to him, the station will include three passenger platforms and two spacious lobbies equipped with 10 elevators and 14 escalators. The priorities of the project are to ensure comfort for citizens with low mobility, convenience of transfers and the use of advanced engineering solutions.
After the reconstruction is completed in 2026, Moscow-City will become an important transportation hub, uniting four railway stations: MCC, MCD-1, MCD-4, metro and Aeroexpress trains to Sheremetyevo.
