Abundant precipitation in the form of snow and rain is expected in Moscow and the region from 06:00 on December 7, about which the residents of the capital were informed today by representatives of Russian meteorological service and the Hydrometeorological Center.
Heavy snowfall and rain in places are expected in Moscow and the region since early morning on December 7. According to Russian meteorological service and Hydrometeorological Center, the probability of sleet and snow adhesion is expected in the Moscow region until December 8, with icy condition of the roads.
The air temperature will range from minus three to plus one degree Celsius. The probability of weather events according to the scenario is 95%.
According to forecasters, in the next two days, up to 16 millimeters of precipitation may fall in Moscow, that is, 29% of the monthly norm. Usually in December this figure is 56 millimeters.
Due to the continued likelihood of increased wind up to 15 meters per second, the yellow level of hazard of weather conditions will continue to operate in the capital until the evening of December 7. Local residents are encouraged to be careful and cautiuos.
